Another poor super 6 from Aldi. The Kaki fruit that was on offer in lidl last week were delicious and seemed to be flying off the shelves

Yeah I think a very good Super 6, it'll save me money anyway. Broccoli I would buy anyway it's normally €1.69, there's a €1 saving just there. Tomatoes I would also buy anyway, cheapest are €1.29, another 60c saving. So €1.60 saving on broccoli and tomatoes alone.

its bugs me that kiwifruit is called just "kiwi ". A "kiwi" is a bird (or a human New Zealander); the fruit should always be called "kiwifruit.

    Cool story, bro.

Aldi will definitely have a better offer just before Xmas - last year pineapples/yellow melons were 29-49c/each iirc...

I wonder will Aldi et al have the very, very cheap vegetables that they had last Christmas? All the stores were competing with each other and in the end the super six was 15c Pineapple, Melon, 2kg Spuds, 1kg Carrots, Net of sprouts, Net of Clementines. Fingers crossed for similar offers this year.

(p.s - whatever happened to dfbemt?)

Last midwinter celebratory holiday they had Pineapple, Melon, 2kg Spuds, Carrots, Sprouts, Clementines for 24c and slashed it to 15c as the days went by.

    Edit: Arra feicit lin'tee

    This ends tomorrow.

Aldi have reduced the kiwi six pack to 49c, the rest are still 69c.

With Dfbemt missing, I may just have to go up to Aldi early tomorrow to see what is on offer for the Christmas veg. Would be very happy if they had spuds for a simliar price to last year, even 2kg for €1 would be good! Unlikely to happen though. It saddens me that spuds have been so expensive (and rubbish quality) this year:(:(

I tried to use those for mash and it ended in disaster :( Raw in the middle and mush on the outside.
