My ipad 2 is stuck with the apple logo on the screen and won't switch on. I can get it in to recovery mode and when I plug it in to itunes I only get the option to restore and update it which will delete all of the the data on it.
How can I access the file system to save my data. The ipad is jailbroken.

I feel kinda silly admitting this but my battery was discharged and we hadn't realised it. It had been plugged in to the laptop for at least an hour and a half and there was nothing happening so I posted this question the next thing it came back to life. I was lucky because I very nearly had restored it earlier.
One of the tips I had read about was to use iPhone explorer. I couldn't get it to work but maybe it'll work for you.
