I have an H2n recorder at the moment and I was thinking about getting a shure sm57 mic to record my electric guitar through the line in jack on the recorder. I've tried to use the recorder on its own but my amp is too loud to record anything good. Does anyone know if i'll be able to plug the mic directly into the H2n with an xlr to 1/8 cable or will I need anything extra (like a mic preamp)
