Stronger Headlamp Bulb?

What's the condition of your headlamps as in corrosion or dulling of the glass
If they are not very clear you could use some rubbing compound to clean them up.
    Then try brighter bulbs.

    Edit
    Are the lights properly focused.

It seems to be a common problem with pre-facelift E11 corollas. Headlights housings get dirty from inside.

I saw a solution recently - one guy took them out and wash - used warm water with a bit of ordinary dish washing liquid added. And it really did work! :D

Bear in mind that after that housings need time to dry. ;)

Without seeing the state of your headlights now it's hard to say but often toothpaste can clear them right up again.

Not this time. They're made of glass. :D

You could also fit higher intensity bulbs like the Osram Nightbreaker and Philips Extreme vision.

Let us know how long they last. Heard some rumours they're life's short. ;)

    I hope I'm wrong. :)

Any of the high performance bulbs will have a shorter life than standard.
Its the old saying, the flame that burns bright burns short.
Better to be replacing bulbs than sitting at the side of the road with a busted rim and ruined tyre thinking about how you couldn't see that pothole...

Just fitted a set of osram night breakers. It says they last half as long as the normal ones. That could be one year for some five for others.

From my own experience: osram night breaker plus - lasted 1 year 5 months, lit up every day. Not bad at all. :)

Tried them out this evening. Better than I expected. There seems to be twice as much light as my old bulbs.

It's a good idea to check the condition of your headlight loom before spending crazy money on bulbs. afaik upgraded bulbs don't last along as regular bulbs because of the voltage drop from a old loom, wires degrade over time

Toyota are well known for having crap headlight looms
