Hi. I am getting married next July and have just seen a voucher on Groupon for wedding photography for€650. Anyone seen any of his work? Any comments good or bad?? Thanks!

OP, I would be making VERY careful enquiries. What are you getting for E650? That sounds remarkably cheap to me. You need to match what you WANT against what you GET. I usually think if something's cheap, it's cheap for a reason!!

I also believe that wedding photos are THE most important thing about your wedding. The dress is worn, food eaten, reception had and cleared away. Then what are you left with? The bills and the photos!! So spend a bit of time and money making sure the photographer's decent and that you get the best possible package for your money. Get recommendations from friends and family - that's usually a good start. Have you been to any weddings lately? What did you think of the photo's? What sort of style do you want? Is the whole thing to be posed or are you looking for straight reportage?

I would meet with him, and go through his portfolio (Which he should be more than happy to show you). Take references from other brides he's worked for. <snip>

    Hope this helps!

I booked Bruno... he is on Facebook if you want to see some of his work.
We are actually getting married next week!
He took us through some of his albums and i love his style, very natural and abstract.
He is not a posy person, no formal shots unless you request them etc.
Check out his website and Facebook page and that will give you an idea.
he told us he was doing the deals in order to build his profile.. really nice guy too.

thats very cheap! most photographers wouldn't get out of bed for that money! it's just not worth it.
Have you seen any examples? have you discussed a contract?
hope it does work out for ya.

how professional is he ?? is he a member of an association?

is he insured ? (some hotels wont allow an uninsured photographer to work on their premises)

Is he working full-time as a photographer ? does he have a list of previous clients that you can talk with and discuss things.... like has been mentioned earlier - he doesn't do "posed" images (unless asked) ...so his "style" is turn up and photograph what he wants and put them on a DVD for you.

Personally I would suggest you avoid - have a look in the list of recommended photographers in this section of boards or goto the photography section and see if someone there can sort you out....plenty of great photographers there.
