    I'm wary of that lady, and I wouldn't be calling DSK a sleazeball unless there were perfectly clear evidence.
    Diallo filed a civil lawsuit against Strauss-Kahn in the Bronx in August 2011, weeks before Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. dropped the criminal charges against the former IMF chief, after concluding Diallo had lied about events surrounding the alleged attack.

    While there is no evidence, the huge amount of money that he threw at her would scream guilt to me on his part.

    To make a very damaging problem go away for the sake of peace. It's done day in and day out in court, people are more than happy to throw money at something to make it go away and to step out of the limelight even if they haven't necessarily committed a wrong. It all depends on the circumstances. DSK's reputation is ruined at this stage, dragged through the dirt for an awful long time, I'm sure he'd be happy to see the back of it.

    There's about 40 years of continuous evidence that he's a sleazeball. That was never in doubt.

    You mean like how Michael Jackson tried to get some peace by paying off Jordy Chandler? Or the guy in Sesame Street paid his accuser to hush up? In both cases flashing the cash just opened the flood gates to a whole series of new allegations. And made both look a hell of a lot more guilty.
