Rep scheme question

    If a program calls for 2 sets of 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, reps, how should this be executed?

    Is this 20 discrete sets with rest in between each set?

    Or 2 sets of 55?

    Or something else?

    It depends on the workout and guidelines behind it.

    If it's a RevFit conditioning one it'd be 10x of exercise 1, 10x of exercise 2, 9x of exercise 1, 9x of exercise 2, all the way down until 1 and 1 of each is completed.

    You know what the funniest bit is...I read this post and though what the f*ck is this retard doing?

    I am working away from home base so I've no idea what IP4 looked like...give me a look at it in context and I'll tell you what's what.

    Just as an aside....everyone here knows they can just PM or email me and ask me questions like everyone else does right?

    You either have a misprint or it's an IP program that I didn't right and thought couldn't hurt. I definitely wouldn't do that sort of regression type stuff for russian twists.

    Elevated split squat 2-4 x 5-8
    Lateral V sits 3 x 10 per side
    Chin ups 2 x 8, 3-5 x 3-5
    Single arm push press, 2-4 x 5-8
    Russian twists - 2 sets. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
    DB skull crushers 2-4 x 8-12

    That's cool. That was actually a program written by an intern at IP.

    It looks fine...just do the russian twists 3x11 reps per side.

    Your abs will be superjakt and you can write a testimonial for my new book entitled...'Training by the power of Prime'.
