    Hi guys n ladies.

So I recenty bought my first real watch.
Steinhart Nav B. love the watch. Thanks DT.
My question is do most people use standard buckle or a deployment clasp. I have both. The watch is on a leather strap. All being equal, is one method more secure. They both original Steinhart.

    Any opinions.

generally a deployant will be easier on the strap, so it should last longer,

Sometimes people find them less comfortable than pin buckles and there is also a great chance of a deployant opening accidently but its uncommon

    Hey....

    glad you are enjoying it.

I prefer Deployment, its a bit awkard sometime but I feel its safer,

I agree completely with Cyrus, I imagine how comfortable it is depends a lot on the particular deployment.

Deployants also reduce wear and tear on the leather.

True, the double fold "butterfly" style are much better in this regard. For the simpler ones it might be necessary to fix the strap the wrong way round (i.e. fix the long part of the strap that has the holes in to the top rather than the bottom of the watch) to avoid the clasp digging into that bony bit on the inside of your wrist.

    Thanks guys.

I've had it on deployment for a while. Changed to buckle. Lasted half day before I changed back. Butterfly style deployment is very comfortable. Was just a little worried that it might open
