It’s a great chance for everyone to chat and really get to know each other, I know we are all at shows nearly every month together but we never get a chance to really socialize together and chat so this is a great chance for us all to wind down after a very busy year for the IMC.
Entre fee for this event is 10 euro for all IMC gym members and Students who have pre book there tickets before the Night. As tickets will be 15 Euros on the Door on the night.

    Congratulations everyone.

This one confused me a bit....
    Category 3:
Male Amateur fighter of the year
    Paul Norton
    Chuppasart Dublin

....Paul is one of the best pro fighters in the country. How is he getting an amateur award?

I presume amateur is anything other than A class?

Open to being corrected here but AFAIK, class and pro/am are completely separate things.
    The order is usually...

Amateur C class rules (C class rules ,shinguards, body armor, 16oz gloves)
Pro C class (3x2 min rounds, no elbows or knees to the head, smaller gloves)
Pro B class (5x2 min rounds, no elbows to the head, smaller gloves)
Pro A class (5x3 min rounds, full Thai rules, smaller gloves)

But you can have Amateur A class or mix and match as you like. The difference between Amateur and Professional is usually down to if the fighters are paid or not. Again open to being corrected there.

Hi Lads great to see you all so interested in the Awards just to answer your question regarding Paul Norton’s award

Yes Paul is a good Pro Fighter and has done well for himself on the Pro Circuit, but Paul is also a great Amateur Fighter and has put representing his Country as one of his main goals in the last year,

Paul represented Ireland in the IFMA 4 Nations Event in UK earlier this year and had 3 great matches winning them all in great style. To be Crowned 4 Nations Champion.

Paul again represented Ireland in the World Championships in Russia, where again he had a Great match against a world class fighter from Denmark

It would be great to see many more Pro Fighters like Paul taken time out of the busy fight year to represent there Country at some of these Great World Amateur Events, as at these Events all the fighters representing there Country are the Top Pro in the world.
So all Credit to Paul Norton and well done, well deserved.

Great turn out last night at the Irish Muaythai Council Sports Stars Awards, everyone look very well suited and booted, big change from all the smelly sweat look at the Fight nights we normally see them in : )

its was great to chat and really talk to everyone and for some of the new gyms a chance to meet everyone, not alone have they some great moves in the Ring, but they also have moves on the Dance floor as well.
Well done to everyone who got the Awards, well deserved
The Bridgestone table was full of awards so a big, well done to them.

Well done again to everyone involved.
