    Hi lads ladies,

I recieved a juvinile caution from the jlo officer many years ago.. 06 IIRC

I am just wondering would this impact an application to join the AGS (when they recruit)???/

I did a bit of searching online but I havent found anything..

I haven t gone down into a life of crime btw.. I have a high LC,degree, postgrad and I am completing a masters..

    any replies are welcomed :_)

If you've managed to keep your nose clean for the last six years, and continue to do so, I can't see it being much of a problem. By the time recruitment actually recommences you'll have gone at least a decade without offending :P

A JLO is a slap on the wrist. Its meant to be a warning like a yellow card in a football match. When your young we all do stupid stuff that we regret. You may have to explain the circumstances to somebody but if youve kept out of trouble since I dont see any problems arising.

Definetely wont afffect you. I know a few Gardai who have gone through the JLO sysytem. It is an example of early intervention and instead of landing some young lad with a conviction and ruin their life they get a chance to make amends. Lots of kids act the fool in the teens and it is wrong to have something that happens at that age impact on you later on
