back boiler pump

What does the pump do we cant work it out normally the Emersion heats first then the rads what is the pump for to heat the rads first or the emersion first and how does it work if possible.

It curculates the water around the rads to send hot water round the system.....as the water gets hot in the back boiler the pipe stat will turn on the pump.

demanufactured summed it up there really,,,to be quiet honest a pump is realistically for your downstairs rads(hot water if tank in low position) as all up stairs can be done by gravity
