Hi guys, i've recently started a new job and i signed a contract for €23,000 gross a year. The first week i worked wasn't a full week but here is a summary of what i got paid..

    Gross 221.15
    PAYE 12.23
    USC 15.48
    PRSI er 9.40
    Insurable weeks 1
    Total Due 193.44

Every since, i've worked full weeks and have received €342.27 a week. Foolishly i haven't asked for payslips but i feel like i'm being under payed a bit. Anyone know where i could get this looked at?

    Thanks guys

Sounds like you are getting underpaid. should be pulling 380 to 390 after tax on 23000 a year but I don't know your circumstances. Ask your boss would you be able to get a payslip. Just say its to claim some taxes back. Also you can contact the revenue and see why you are been taxed so much. Maybe human resources made a mistake and put you on 21,000 instead of 23,000 is the only think I could think of

That is under paid, if you have not otherwise worked this year you also shouldn't be paying paye or usc either. All those figures look weird and wrong.

You are entitled to a pay slip by law.

Have you notified Revenue that you have started this job, and received a new certificate of tax credits from them?

Also, were you working earlier in the year? Did you tell Revenue about that (or not).

It's possible you are on emergency tax or week1.

Just checked out the advanced calculator. Looking forward to claiming back a nice lumpsome next year for this year.
