Last year, I think it opened at either 1100 or 1200 French time, so 1000 or 1100 here - I can't remember exactly but i will be checking for the next couple of hours!

I checked the french version out of curiousity and it's open via www.asochallenges.com if you speak french. Am in a queue with a waiting time of over 300 mins

If you open the page in Chrome it will translate it for you. Waiting time 552 minuts :)

There was no problem getting an entry on line last year. I entered about a week after the entry was open and even a few months later I was still able to enter the second Act; although there were two Acts to choose from last year.

After a long 15 minutes I was able to enter, through the Chrome translated French page. Hope I filled it in right.

Yeh got mine, after a long wait, a page crash and re-entry! Tehn booked my flight to Geneva, rang the Aer Lingus helpdesk after to book the bike on and am told they are full and won't take any more bikes. Typical.

Anyone hiring a bike in France? Must be plenty of options, right? Thought hiring a bike for 2-3 days had to be cheaper and less hassle than taking it with you. Especially for me with a bulk standard bike, chance to get a nice full carbon, will need all the help I can to get around. Newby to cycling anyone seen any Annecy-Semnoz specific training plans yet.

Any must do sportives before the Etape, Wicklow 200, etc.

Some of the sites I found box you in for the whole week. I found a B&B 15k from Anncey and the rates are similar to the campsites! Will try to find a few more sites sites in the area.

Have a roof tent for the jeep and will park up on Alp D'huez after the etape. Still need a plan for watching the stage on ventoux. Leaving Ireland on 29th june to drive down and going to stay until the finish. Idea is to cycle 100k a couple of the days as we cross france. Hopes its good irish weather on the day of the etape:cool:
