Today I wanted to pay for a $0.50 for a file that I ordered in America. I went to the post office and I was told that I would be paying €16-20 for $20 dollars as they can't do no less. Then I went to the Bureu de change in the bank were I was told about drafts and who does it go to (the teller wasn't exactly a 'helpful' person) then I didn't bother in the end. I was told I can't give postal orders outside the E. U. is there away to send money without using a credit card to the U. S. please? I find it strange we can't give a postal order outside the E. U.

50 cents? Just get hold of a dollar bill and send it. Or even a couple of quarters. Ask around anyone who has been to the states often has change lying around. I have a dollar on my fridge door right now and no you can't have it.

A postal order is no use to someone in America. Where would they go to change it?

In general Paypal is the best way to pay for anything these days.

That's the plan but I think the system we are in for it is ridiculous! I will send of the money I do know of person that has $0.50 thankfully.

I used to send large sums of money to the States on a regular basis. The easiest was was to get a US Bank Draft. So basically, I setup an account with a bank that provided that services.

The issue here is that you are only looking to send $0.50. I would contact the seller and figure out the easiest way to get it to them. The post on a letter is going to be twice that.
