Wooden Wine Boxes

    Hello,

When i was in college I used to work in massive wine cellars in Switzerland so wine has always been an interest of mine. I would like to make a display of wooden wine crate covers/ends on the wall of my man cave. We used to break and dump so many of these when i worked there

I am looking to source some empty wooden wine crates here in Ireland but after much googling i am not finding much. I have found UK and US companies that sell them but with the quantities i want (30-40) it would work out a very expensive project.

Obviously i would love some of the Bordeux Grand Crus and more well known wine brands but i have a feeling these will be very rare and any boxes will do at this stage.

If you know of anyone working in a cellar, wholesaler or retailer that would be happy to give or sell(for a reasonable price) these to me then please get in touch. You can PM me or email me at route11@hotmail.com

    Thanks,

    Johnny

Your best bet would be to ask at higher end restaurants. Retail is mostly cardboard boxes now with only the most expensive wines shipped in wooden boxes.
