    I've decided.

I've been to Mondello and did the day course with Drift IRL and I've done my bit of messing on the beach in my car (Front Wheel Drive!) but now I want to go the next step.

    ..................What's the next step?

If I buy a nice cheap RWD car what are my options realistically? I dont want to risk my license by carrying on in car parks at midnight etc, too old for that.

I'm a mature driver and want some fun legitimately so what are my options for Drifitng? Track days? Beach? Any clubs/areas to consult?

I personally wouldn't do much on the beach. Its illegal and you might get stuck :p.

Try www.driftireland.com for details of open events.

As for a car, a 535 or 540i with a manual box would be what i'd choose but are very rare. Any beemer (e36 328i) with a welded diff will get you running. If its a road/track car however you might need to go for a 200sx/silvia/skyline/e36 with an LSD etc. You will need a LSD or a welded diff to drift.

How did you find the course in Mondello, recommended?
