I just had to tell you this one in case anyone else gets caught by this.

Two weeks ago I signed a standing order mandate for my accountant and gave it to my branch. Today get an email money not received.

I know cashiers by first name so rang the branch. Got a call centre. They take details, "given to Dave in branch", get him to give me a ring please.

Next get a call from commercial banking. Told again story and girl says it should have been sent to them. I pointed out I lodged and gave it in at the same time. Oh she says. Need to contact branch! I KNOW THAT!

Next get a call to say mandate went to Belfast for processing but it was rejected as not on headed paper.!

What headed paper! I don't use any!

So, "progress" caused call from me to branch, transfer to call centre, from there to commercial, there to Dave then Belfast, then call to me.

How the feck is this efficient?
