3/4 bull, 1/4 grey, he,s 4yrs old, nearly lost him a couple of years ago, he tore his abdomen on a barbed wire fence, he didnt yelp and i never noticed a thing as there wasnt much blood, we were lamping so he just hopped into the jeep with the bitch and we moved to another spot. when i opened the jeep he wouldnt come out, thats when i noticed the damage:confused: it was the next day i got him to a vet and he had to be sewn inside and out, the outside stitches burst when i got him home as the vet had predicted but he had given me stuff to put on it, after 3 months and a few visits to the vet he was grand:) the vet was Brian Jones on the north rd near finglas, i reckon he,s the best around, incidently, the bitch in the photo broke a vertebre in her back out lamping one night, she went over the edge of an old quarry chasing a rabbit, i didt know the drop was there as it was my first time hunting this land, i heard a yelp and when i got to the edge she was lying at the bottom with the rabbit dead beside her, i thought she was done for as she couldnt move her back legs:confused: i carried her back to the jeep got her home and made her as comfortable as i could till i got her to Brian next morning, again he was brilliant, he said she,d broken a vertebre in her lower back and would probably lose the feeling in her tail, when i asked would she run again he said he was confident she would in time, he gave her a series of injections over a period of time and again in a few months she was fine, even her tail is grand:) sorry bout the waffle pat, u only asked about the dog;)
