Thinking bout getting a pigeon magnet for christmas for myself and I'm wondering what brand or make people found to be good or bad . I know there's some crap ones out there and I don,t want to get stuck with one of those .
I've got some quotes on different ones but wondering does anyone know a good spot to get a good one at a handy price .

Any advice will be welcome lads .

    Cheers .

More upmarket models are constructed from top quality steels, and finished in tough green powder coating.

They include refinements such as telescopic arms, (for ease of transportation) a multi-angle adjustable motor head with speed control and height adjustable main shaft with triple spike footbase.

They are also lightweight, weighing approx. 5 lbs. and come with a carry case.

Some have four arms, rather than two, to have four decoys spinning.

    I don't have a make for the one I use as it's home-made.

if you can do a bit of welding you could knock one up handy enough. I made mine from bits lying around the shed and a rear window wiper motor. The motor needs changing now but that is a simple and cheap job. mine is finished "natural" though so doesn't look to pretty....

Cheers lads for the info .
Any chance of a pic or two of the homemade ones or even a plan for them . I'd be handy enough on the tools and might have a go at knocking one together . Any hints from the lads that made them would be more than welcome.

Thanks a million for the info lads . Got some great tips here and I'm gonna give a homemade one a shot .
First day that I'm off and the weather is too bad for shooting , I'm heading for my scrap jeep, motor hunting with the angle-grinder !
Any other tips are welcome from the DIY brigade out there . :)
