Childhood memory: Milk in Moka pot

    I just had a weird childhood flashback of my music teacher making coffee in a Moka pot with milk instead of water. She studied in Italy (probably in the 50's or 60's) and said that's what they did where she lived.

    Has anyone come across this?
    I suppose it could even work with pour-over or press.
    Any opinions on it?

    I'm going to try it, just for old-times' sake. I'll report back.

    The Mukka still uses water in the bottom, the milk is placed in the top.

    Llatsni, are you sure she used milk instead of water in a Moka pot?
    I can't imagine heating the milk and forcing it under pressure through the ground coffee
    would taste great.

    It was definitely milk in the bottom instead of water.

    It seems a bit mad all right - and might be nasty - maybe I should just leave it a fond memory :)

    I could see the milk in the bottom overheating and splitting the milk fats. Like over boiling and over steaming milk I cant see it tasting well and I reckon it'd be a mare to clean.
