I've bought a lot of one and two euro all cash tickets recently and I've won zilch. Any winning stories out there to keep me going after the 10,000 smackeroos?

The stupidity tax will be increased in the budget. Odds will be increased to 10,000 to 1. Suckers.

Powerball is up to 425 million here in the States. I imagine it will go up before the next pick which is Wednesday. Going to waste ten dollars on tickets, I am.

Scratch cards. The Governments way of getting it's welfare money back.

They're a bit of fun every now and then, i.e., every few months. Worst case scenario (if you play as little as I do) it's €2 for a bit of a kick and feeling like a child scratching off every conceivable inch of silver with a penny.

The thing bout the lotto in the US is the second you win it you have to pay state and fed taxes on it, so they say 42 million but you will only get about 20 of it.

As opposed to Europe where Euromillions and Irish Lotto are both tax free winnings, so if you win 120million, you get 120million.

    That said, I wouldn't mind 20million dollars...

I work in a shop and I'd cash in a fair amount per day for people, but more often than not it's €1-15 and 90% of the time they reinvest it all without ever seeing the cash.

I cashed in a €250 for a fella once and he gave me €20 of it!
