    Hi,

Does anyone have one of these bikes? What are they like? good frame? comfortable?

Really considering the Scenero at the moment. Great reviews - bike radar bike of the year 2010 - lots of 10/10s.

Im a sportif rider though and not a racer. Most reviews mention speed (which doesnt concern me that much).

They seem rare in ireland though and i have not seen any here.

    Thanks

I was in Base to Race which gave me the idea to begin with. Have been in about 10 bike shops since and am suffering from information overload at the moment.
Having done the research and thrown the leg over (I didnt cycle it) its one for the shortlist. Most reviews mention its racing ability though and im wondering how suitable it is to ireland and 8/9 hrs ++ cycling....

I have a Visionlight. It is an alu frame with carbon fork. Very light bike. It is very comfortable.

I have never ridden nor owned a Storck but they are beautiful bikes. You see a few of them at races but I think one of the audax crew did Paris-Brest-Paris on one.

Looking at it, the scenero seems to have a bit of a slope in the top tube which would suggest it should be a bit forgiving for longer rides but it still seems racy enough. Make sure you ride it before you buy it. If it fits, go for it.

Just after building up an Absolutist - just a few rides put down on it so still getting used to it.

Can't say how it'll feel like to ride for a 9hr+ ride but my initial observation of the bike is that it is stiff, gives loads of value for money as regards power transfer and (so far) hasn't beaten me up despite it's first few 70-80km trips around N/W Kerry. Seems very stable, holds its line in corners very well but not with a sense of 'running on rails' - it does feel light and that it would be happy to change line/direction very quickly and easily if you wanted to. Will need a month on it to put it through its paces properly and see what's what with it.

As it happens there'll be a Scenero joining the club here in a week or two (bought by a sportif only rider) - if you don't think you'll be pulling the pin on your purchase in the near future I can get some feedback for you when it has some kms logged.

Thanks Che and RO 06. It would be interesting to hear your review further. In no rush to pull the trigger and will probably do it after Christmas. Some reviewers say that while it rides well and fast the geometry can leave you fatigued over a long run....

I'm a big Storck fan - they're just a bit more unusual than specialised, giant et al. I got an Aero last year and have just bought a Scenero which is now sat in my office waiting to be built - Hibike were offering best value when I was shopping around. http://www.hibike.com/shop/product/pa96346687084094c5e40c3eb183a34eb/s/Storck-Scenero-G1-frame-kit-white-black-2013.html )

On the comfort thing - I reckon most of it is down to your contact points rather than frame and geometry. So get a comfortable saddle, bars & tape and have your tyres at a suitable pressure and almost any bike will be ok.
