......anyone got any ideas where Pubs / Restaurants get those full & thick Christmas Garlands that seem to lap their premises full of lights ?

Quite often garden centre type places have them, they are very expensive though

If you can get into a Cash and Carry they usually have oversized Christmas decorations. There is a shop in cork called Pendrix Display and they carry lots of shop fitting seasonal decorations
