Another thread? It would be easier if you kept it to one thread.

Sorry about that, I got a bit mixed up with the different treads, this is the final attempt.
Any constructive comments are welcome on my proposed build.
    Thank You.

That build looks good to me

Do you really need the ethernet card? One comes on the motherboard

You will need a dedicated graphics if you plan on gaming. If not the you're fine with out one.

You will need a 3rd party cpu cooler to overclock, hardwareversand do not install these coolers so you would have to do it yourself.
If you will not be overclocking you can go for a cheaper cpu (non k 3570) and cheaper b75 motherboard.

What is the position with sound, do I need a dedicated sound card or is there one on board. ?
I do not generally play games but so some video editing would it be wise to include a simple dedicated cooler
    Do hardwareversand.de offer a warranty.?
Thanks for your patience with my attempts on this fourm.

Just read your post properly this time.
No need for overclocking as games are not my thing. Can you specify an alternative CPU and motherboard that will cover my requirements. Intel would be my preference.
Can you say if they have graphics and/or sound onboard.
    Thanks

Sound is included on the motherboard. And there is a network connection on the motherboard too.

A basic GPU is included in the CPU with video out options on the motherboard.
It's fine for most things but very weak for games

This is basicly the same motherboard and cpu
Only difference is they are cheaper and do not overclock
since you will not be overclocking the intel cooler that comes with the cpu will do just fine.

If you will be editing large video files you might make use of more ram

Thanks for the prompt reply. I will amend the system and take the plunge tomorrow. I was going down the Dell XPS8500 but my son-in-law has convinced me the quality of Dell has declined in recent times.
Thanks for your very kind guidance. I will put up my final system tomorrow before ordering to make sure it is ok.
    Thank You

You're welcome. This is definitely the best way to get a desktop system. You get to pick every part individually so you know the whole system is top quality :)
