Dublin AFS is run by Civil Defence. Go to www.civildefence.ie and look up the Dublin details, if the AFS is the same as the rest of the divisions of Civil Defence then there is a waiting list.

Hi stephen,

there is indeed a bit of a waiting list to join in most units you can find out a fair bit of information from units from there facebook or twitter accounts

such as south dublin afs there on twitter and facebook and this shows some of the activities that we take part in.

where abouts in dublin are you located and i can tell you wher your nearest unit in located.

i would advise joining, i have learned so much and got to do very varied things from operating in the bad winter snow the past few yearsto supplying water after the big freeze and most recently the floods in dublin.

all this along with our regular duties make it a very interesting and busy thing to be part of
