Rent Allowance being cut completely?

    I'm not sure where to post this question but I just wondered did anyone else hear that rent allowance is being cut totally from people who are on it over 18 months? It is to encourage people to find a ras scheme, while this is good in theory (I agree that private letting needs to be controlled more) no landlord wants to do a ras scheme. I have been looking for one for 3 years!
    My cousin rents out a house and her tenant told her she got a letter stating that her rent allowance would be cut in January as she is on it more than 18 months and to find a landlord to do ras with her, has anyone else gotten these letters?
