Hi does anyone know where I might start about getting a new kitchen in the galway area?

I dont want to waste my time going to every store - anyone any good experiences when buying and planning a kitchen?:o

Hiya, I am not based in the Galway area so unfortunately can't recommend a local company but can give you a few pointers. I have been designing kitchens for too long now:D

First thing I always ask clients to do is make a wish list, have a look at your existing kitchen and decide what you hate about it and anything you like about it. It's the designers job to make as much of this a reality as possible within your budget. If you can give them a ballpark budget it does help
Next try to have an idea of the type of appliances you would like to incorporate into the layout, don't worry about brands.
If you are revamping an existing kitchen and do not want to go to the cost of moving plumbing/electrics/vents then make the designer aware of their location. If its a new build then just bring in your scale plans.

When comparing one company to another take into account the differences in each design, cabinet and door sizes can make a big difference in price as can decorative units. Once you get the layout right it's much easier to price one company against another. Also ask for a base price excluding wirework and appliances and with standard laminate work top.

A good layout will work no matter what style door you choose.
