Hello people, my brother is getting a graphics card for christmas with the intentions of playing the new medal of honor. Already have i5-3570k etc.. Budget of €250 or thereabouts.. all suggestions welcome:)

Going a little over budget this MSI is on weekly special at Overclockers.co.uk, and comes to €295 ish delivered (add £9.99 delivery to the price). Has 6 games thrown in as a bonus (FARCRY3, Hitman Absolution, Sleeping Dogs, Dirt Showdown, Nexuiz, CODMW2).

A 7870 is definately the best under budget option , you should be able to get one of these delivered to your door for €220-230.

There are more good brands than bad really, the GPU chip will be pretty much the same for all cards. The best way to differentiate for me would be the quality for the cooler, warranty etc.

Hello guys got the 7950 in the end..
Have the card installed and it powers up, drivers from cd installed , enabled in the bios to boot from pci express. But the card is not working. suggestions?

Do you have both power connectors from the PSU going into it?

Try re-seating the Graphics Card. Make sure that both the power connectors are fully inserted after re-seating it. Also make sure that the display cable is going from the graphics card and not the motherboard.

no you dont. Can you see the card in device manager?
Also I was just taking a look at this
System requirements :
"Minimum of 500 Watt or greater power supply with one 75W 6 pin and one 150W 8 pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors"

I wonder if your 550W is up for it. Do you have many other drives etc that might be using up the power?

Super Flower should be able for the 7950....

You mention the Bios being set to dedicated, so does that mean you can access the bios upon startup? Is it only Windows that isn't starting? Bit confused by your post.
