Just after seeing this on the NARGC Facebook page
Appeal for Woodcock/Snipe Wings 2012/2013 Hunting Season:
After each hunting season, the NARGC analyses the snipe and woodcock population in Ireland. This research provides an important health check on our migratory game birds. However, in order for this research to be successful, we need as many woodcock/snipe wings as possible. All we require is one wing per snipe/woodcock. Please make an extra effort to retain the wings of any woodcock and snipe that you shoot this winter. Wings can be given to your local Gun Club/RGC delegates!

Will any of ye help out with research?

I would like to get some bit of information back but have never seen anything, only how many have been reported to be shot in each county,I don't think its good enough when someone goes to the bother of saving them and sending them off they should at least let us know their findings.
