    Closed. NAMA debt apparently.
    Pity. Decent pub
    Hope it reopens.
    Anybody any news about it?

Yeah closed last Saturday night I think, Buddy had got involved in property development in Thomastown, using the beer garden of his pub and built/done up a few houses.

Great little pub, not sure what is gonna happen with it now

No speculation as to why the pub closed

Speculation is the cause, according to the speculation. It's all very confusing.

Legendary pub, the most beautiful beer garden in Ireland at one point in time, the whole episode reads like a Greek tradgedy

Whoever takes over if that happens has very large boots to fill

    Twill indeed be missed

Yeah, they shouldn't have messed with the beer garden.

Heard rumour last night that a well known Kilkenny City publican was taking it over

Great Spot, was really missed on my Stephens Night Out.
Was such a pity they messed with the beer garden like they did, although the back of the pub did benefit!

Dunno if it will be the same without the Carroll Brothers hanging around.
