hi i have question for you.

Me and my ex recently broke up.

she was very busy in life and we drifted. tbh i think she half consciously withdrew from me.

i had created tension also however, over my jealousy, because i was bored one night and had googled her name to see what came up. what came up was a profile pic on a twitter social media account of her and her ex. her ex whom she is still 'friends' with and is still vey much in her friends and family circle but whom she swears she would never go back with. I never said it to her at the time and still havent because i would feel weird saying how i found it.

Anyway we are meeting soon to chat, i think she thinks i am all okay , and good to be friends but i think i want a 'closure' type encounter where we talk through things and i get some sense of moving on. i dont know if i should bring up her ex - ex or the picture up or just leave it.? I still have feelings for this girl 9i believe she does for me too but its all messed up) and i guess im a mixture of angry, hurt and still in love.

I wouldn't mention it. In fact I don't see why you would?

I think the only reason you would need to mention that is if you guys were trying to get back together and wanted to get everything out in the open for a fresh start.

Otherwise it seems more like you wanting to hurt her or prove something. It seems unnecessary.

I wouldn't read too much into the picture to be honest, OP. She might have created the account while she was with her ex, used that photo as her profile picture, lost interest in the site and never bothered to change the photo or delete her account.

Is there a reasonable possibility that your finding the picture caused the breakup? Did you harbour some jealousy or resentment, and did it poison your relationship?

if you broke up over issues with jealousy, mentioning the pic isnt going to go so well!!! Leave it be and move on.

    Thanks all for your replies.

no it was a recent pic, in time of when we would have been going out.

relationship ended for couple of reasons, it was sort of mutual.

i suppose there is a part of me that isnt trusting of their friendship, to which she sort of kept to me. and there definetly are jealous, resentment, trust issues on my part, maybe it did effect things near the end.

i guess maybe your right there is a part of me that wants to hurt / prove something / set the record straight. Even a part of me wants to get back with her .

Gah us human beings can be stupidly tormentuous to each other!

yeah your right I think I will leave it.

thanks for your input and thoughts.
