booking flights while waiting for visa auth

    I am going to austraila for a few weeks in January. I applied for an evisitor visa online this evening. Can I book flights straight away or should i wait for visa authorisation to come through? my situation is very straightforward.. and flights are a good price now and i am worried they may change

    any thoughts?

    shouldn't make a difference. Once you have your visa before you land

    Obviously the only problem could be if (for whatever reason) your visa gets denied, then you will lose the funds you paid for the flights.

    If your sure there is no way they can legitimately deny your visa, then you should be fine
