caffeine drinks

    my 10yr old arrived back with 2 cans of dart about an hour ago
    30mg/100ml caffeine content
    he's not allowed to buy this stuff

    he has one drank

    how many cups of coffee in 250ml of this stuff and why are supervalu selling it to kids

    ~100mg of caffeine in one single espresso cup, so he drank equivalent of 3/4 espresso. It's better to worry about vitamins not caffeine content to avoid hypervitaminosis, which is vitamin poisoning (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin_poisoning)

    Simply go to SV and complain. If no reaction, call Gardai.

    Because the kid was legally sold a soft drink? :rolleyes: The guards would have loads of time for that.

    There's nothing illegal about selling it to kids. It's the parent's job to stop their kids drinking it. As such, this is not a Food & Drink issue. Thread closed.
