    Hi all,

Been a doodler and drawing kind of guy for a long time, but I've had it decrease over time due to certain things in my life. Only recently has it gotten clearer, and I ask, What do you think is the best way to get back into art after so long?

    Thanks,
    -Sean

    Hi there,

Maybe you need to get more inspiration back, check some art galleries and some online websites with art gallery to get ideas, that's what I used to do to get inspiration and be able to say "I want to do that!!"

Also I will recommend you maybe join some art club, I think was one in meetup, or some art classes of oil/acrylic painting.

    Hope this helps you

Give at look at the Dublin Sketchers group - they are a nice way for people to get back into art whilst getting to visit galleries and museums. www.dublinsketchers.com

doing the same thing myself......since finishing art school pretty much focus was work work and more work, ive found just setting up a space...."my space" gathering raw materials a computer printer and looking at tones aand tones of art work, thoughts will pop up and straight away you can look on google for inspiration, also the library can help. doodles are great, dont focus on the completed piece its about reconnecting with the artist within, skill will develop colour awareness will fine tune and best of all you will find yourself losing hrs working away and clearing your mind:) it is amazing
    best of luck

Pick up something that will make marks, and draw on something.
Seriously, paper, cardboard, pen, pencil, marker. Really doesn't matter. It's nice to have hardback sketch pads and beautiful medium to work with, but really, it's not needed.
    Start now!
