Buying an Eotech for VFC Scar Tan. Anyone have any experience as to what colour suits it better, Dark Earth or Tan Eotech,

    Thanks for any input :)

I'd go dark earth, some tans look are seriously light. Every manufacturer will vary in shade, but I'm basing my observation on magpuls dark earth with the scars lower receiver fairly close match.

tan or black, personally take the black as it will then suit other guns too. DE can look a bit off-gold sometimes, looks odd if the colours are weird, especially if they use a metallic colour

Cheers guys, after a day spent trawling airsoft sites (heaven I know) I think I'm gonna roll with a Micro T-1 red dot. Seen a few pics of them on Scars and they look pretty well

Colours are a royal pain in the arse!

Unless you can match them up pre-purchase you have some serious fun trying to make sure they match and don't clash. I've bought tan accessories that were more brown than tan. I've bought OD that arrived closer to foliage green than OD, and similarly I've had OD stuff arrive more grey than anything else.

...to be honest, I'm just happy it's not me having to trawl and match colours again! :D

can o' spray paint lads, best ever. picked up a can of OD of hobby a while back and sprayed the grip, foregrip, scope covers and the rail panels (which were already FG/OD) to ensure they were all the same colour, then sprayed the handguard and stock on a SAW but that's a different story :p

I'd say go wth black. Black is like the magnolia of house paints goes with everything.
The micro t1 dot sight is nice though, they made it look really well in the new medal of honor game
