Citroen C5 - doors acting up

    Hey guys,

The Oh's C5 have been acting up over the past few months with the doors.

The drivers side back door will not open either from the inside or outside, and occasionally the front passenger door refuses to open from the outside when the car is opened with the key.

The remote central locking is also on the blink.

    Any thoughts?

Not too worried about the remote central locking as the central locking works when used manually, is it potentially the switches/motors in the doors at fault?

Its the locks themselves, they are a well known problem.
There are some fixes available on youtube, but the best solution is change the locks.
They will normally work from the inside, do you have the child lock on?

Sometimes if you lock the car with one of the doors open, it will lock and unlock quickly and the dodgy one will open too.
I had 3 locks on mine replaced shortly after I got it.
Locks from a breaker are fine, just need to be installed and coded.

Thanks mate, much appreciated :) have it booked in for an NCT next week, it's gonna fail on the back door, and is well overdue a service (OH is a bit of a luddite when it comes to minding his car, it's about 16 months since it was done, but he does very small mileage), so looking to put a bit of cash into it, as we've decided despite his yearning for a luxobarge, that we will put the money into it, and get it through the nct, along with a proper service.

Got replacement window switches from a breaker for it last week, so they most likely have the locks and give a bit of warranty too, so will check them out.

Aim is to get it through the NCT, give it a proper service, a good valet and a bit of work on a few minor (i.e. nails don't penetrate) scratches on the bodywork and get it looking and driving well.

    It's a lovely comfortable car, so I reckon it's worth it :)
