Filing Cabinet Lock

I have an old filing cabinet and I would like to get a key to lock it. There is no makers name on the cabinet and the only marking I can see on the lock is a 3 digit number. Does anybody know if these locks are standard and if I can buy a key by quoting the number?

If not is, it easy to remove thiz type of lock so I could take it to a locksmith.
Not worth my while to get a locksmith out.

    Thanks, Cerco.

Just drill the lock out and fit a new one , held in from the back by 2 screws.
You will pick up a new lock easily enough.

Take the three digit number to any locksmith and they will cut a key there and then. They are virtually all standard.
Way chepear than installing a new lock.
have done it many times my self
