Hey all, anyone have a pair of these lying about? Rims? I'll even take wheels if they're there.

In French terms 27" is 630mm
    "" "" terms 700c is 622mm

So they're a little different, but enough so to make them need an entirely different tyre size (usually 27X 1 1/4 or 27X 1 1/8)

They are old ones from late 80s. Still in good condition. Would say they would last longer than any modern ones. All depends on what you are looking for. I will get you the full details tonight when I get home.

Looking for something 36-40 spoke real wheel. Preferably not steel. I've a decent front wheel but the back is becoming harder and harder to true and the spoke tension is all over the gaff.

Sorry for late reply. Only one rim is good. 36 hole 20mm alu. Campag. Must stress it's only
the rim not a full wheel.

Here you go, at last. The Ambrosio rim is the one with a dent in it. They are both about 20mm wide.

    Well wotdef.

Are you sure they're 27 inch? One of the photos has 622-14 on it. That's a 700c wheel (modern size).

You're right. And there was me thinking I was riding around on 27 inch wheels all those years ago. Sorry to have got your hopes up.

No problems, didn't want to be wasting our time by calling out to look at them. Cheers anyways
