cpr 5 flight computer

    hi guys. i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get my hands on a cpr 5 flight computer at a reasonable price?? second hand would be fine..

    I don't know if you can get one second hand. As you know all professional pilots use them everyday. :D It's so useful!

    Seriously though if I had one I'd give it to you! But I never owned one. Somehow I got away with using the CRP-1 for my ATPLs and no you cannot have it. :p

    Try Ebay there bound to one or two available for next to nothing.

    i actually have a cpr 1 but was told that its not going but be good enough for the atpl's. maybe i can take a chance on it!!

    the reason why some flight computers don't work for the ATPL exams is that sometimes, the wind side of the computer doesn't cover the higher airspeeds, so you might not be able to do some flight planning calculations. Mine is a Santech E6B and it is an aluminium model and did the job just fine.
