A new series starting tonight includes "an unusual bicycle"! Mmm anyone care to speculate on this? An electric bike? A unicycle maybe?

I'd call that a very small "Scooter", not a bicycle.

He wore one of the inflatable collarhelmets while riding it, + had a stuntman demo the helmet from a proper bike as an aside

Speaking of TV personalities and all things bike related ... Hammond from Top gear has a new series which is about how nature and evolution are informing new technology. Very cool ideas coming for helmets from the structure of woodpeckers skulls which generate, wait for it, 12,000 g force during their pounding of trees while keeping their brain unharmed. They produced a cylindrical case based on this and placed a bog-standard electric bulb inside, then used a helium balloon to bring it to the edge of space, then dropped it!! It dropped at some ridiculous speed and fell into a canyon on reaching earth. It took them weeks to find it despite the attached gps device. When opened the bulb was intact and even the tiny filament was still in place. Stuck it in a lamp and it worked. Could this be the beginning of the end for the helmet debate? (Runs and hides).

An aero wheel chair more like. I'm guessing my mother in-law would kill you for one of these, a real head turner rolling up to the bingo hall.
