How to move from OPF to jsa?

    Hi all,

    At present I am unemployed but am receiving one parent family payment. This will cease in January for me and although I am constantly looking for a job it seems unlikely that ill be employed in January.

    From what I can tell it seems that I will have to move to jsa once the one parent family stops payment for me.

    Can anyone advise me how I should go about doing this? Should I wait until January to make this move? Or is it possible to avoid the long wait by starting the move now?

    Its open to you at any time to give up your OPFP and apply for JSA. While your JSA is being processed you can apply for an SWA.
