Also advertising for a fleet specialist. Any chance we could see an order for new aircraft in the next 12 months based on this?

Great to see them hiring, but €17/hr for a licensed contractor? You get €20/hr in the UK and Europe as an unlicensed mech.

This isn't for connies. It's an initial 6-month contract. They only expect to get less than 10 Shannonites to transfer up.

PS: the offered wage is crap, for licensed and permie nights.

Operate de icing equipment, as required in cold weather operations

    Don't forget THAT bit!

Not much fun when you get a call at 3 o'clock in the morning to get suited and booted, and go out and spend 3 hours up in the deicing rig basket, spraying aeroplanes

    Hi Stovepipe,
Im a licensed Eng. B1 A320\330, sounds like you would come out with around 3200 euros or so per month inclusive of shift pay, therefore with 40percent tax round about, that amounts to roughly 2000 or so euros a month for B1 , do you know if this is correct? or is 17 euro an hour net of tax.

    cheers

    Hi lufties,
I'd imagine they'll offer you more for having 330 coverage but don't expect miracles because from what I'm hearing around the place, they're still not sorted with the Lingus mechs in SNN and any pending job offer is up in the air until they are sorted.

Thanks stovepipe, to be honest I'm just enquiring. Currently working overseas but would like to come 'home' eventually but perhaps not quite yet,, but it's nice to know there's potentially a half decent job to come back to.
