Backed him at 5/6 last night. Surprised 4/5 is still available.

Ground is my fear. Miles better than these.

I like Captain Cee Bee in the without HF market at 9/2. CCB was impressive last time out in heavy ground, and figures to strip fit. Go Native doesn't go well in the mud, so I think there's a decent chance CCB can beat him in these conditions, especially if GN tries to go with HF and empties quickly.

Add in the very real chance that something could go wrong with GN after his problems. I don't think he'll be forced round here if Carberry feels something amiss early. I'd have him at 1/4 to even complete the course, making the 9/2 on CCB value even if he was a tree

Bookies must be getting cleaned at Cheltenham.

11/10 SP there was quite good, it was no bigger on Betfair

Very surprise by the price. Barry Geraghty has been talking him up for ages.

It happens. If they were racing tomorrow, I'd be even more sure of the bet.

Pox lucky but i'll take it. Hope Go Native is ok, will be a serious horse for the christmas hurdle again on that viewing

Hmm.... Bit of a let down in the end I think.

Would Go Native have beaten him?

Also, how much of a threat is Go Native actually going to be come CH time?

U'll take it, does anyone think HF was in trouble if he didn't fall?

You never know with Carberry what he's got left in the tank. He was certainly well capable of sticking with HF.

Hard to gauge how much Carberry is sitting on but HF was still almost a length up at the last. I'm not sure Go Native would have gone by tbh.

Still good to see him back. I don't think HF would have been 100% whereas Go Native has had 2 flat runs.

Hurricane Fly would have won. Great training effort from Meade to get Go Native in that form. Had he landed running, I think there would have been a length of so in it at the end. Both horses were accelerating, and it would have had to take a Usain Bolt type sprint to pass an accelerating HF.

Those who supported Go Native can feel vindicated, for what that's worth.

HF has guts though as shown by his CH win and his first irish CH at Punchestown. I think HF had him covered. Impressed by Go Native though, I think good ground will be more of a help to him. I'm inclined to think his CH run was just a bad one, as he won the Supreme the year before. Certainly wouldn't rule him out, and will back him against Rock on Ruby and Binocular over xmas provided he gets there and the price is right
