    Hello All,

Just enquiring whats the story with returning back to college after working on and off for the last 5 years.

In January i will be signing on and i have read up on a bit about returning to college but to qualify for back to education allowance i have to be unemployed 9 months this is a very long time and be means tested. Does any one know if i do a job bridge in April will this affect my chance of getting the BTEA as i dont think i could survive long in college without an income and part time jobs dont come by easily.

Is there much fees ect involved in doing a post grad i know a masters program your on your own, so much for trying to progress your education.

Simplest option is to see if there are any suitable springboard courses.

Masters courses are usually not recognised for btea if you already have a degree, only h.dips or grad dips are.

If i was allowed keep my 188 a week, i would be content but instead you feel sitting around doing nothing offers better options finacially. I did do a distance learning module with spring board but they dont really let you specialise in an area of interest , there courses are just very generic as in they are for people from many different backgrounds thrown into together.
