New samsung s2

    I have a brand new samsung s2 never opened but unlocked to vodafone network. Can i take this into any unlocking shop and get it unlocked to use meteor sim card? If so whats the best place in cork city to get this done?

    root it then you can install app that will unlock it for you - very easily done, did it on my mothers phone last week

    Wats the easiest way of rooting it? Does it take long or wats involved, ive never rooted any of my fones before

    once rooted look for galasim unlock and run and it will unlock your phone

    Thanks for that. Do the unlocking shops need to root the phone to unlock it or can they just unlock it?

    Well for a brand new phone and for someone who won't be using root apps like SU, going to an unlocking shop will be less hassle now, so he doesn't have to root and risk brick and in the future when he want to sell it

    I'll probably go to a shop to unlock it as its not for me so would the the best option. I have one myslef with over a year so might look into rooting my own one alright. Anyone know the best place to go in cork city for unlocking?
