Hi guys, I only work part time 3 nights a week leaving me with a lot of time on my hands. Like everyone else I need to earn money, I recently got some tax back after being on emergency tax and would like to use it to try make some more.
I have sold some items on Ebay before so know a bit about the costs of that and I also ran my own small business years ago with some sales directly from advertising through my website using Paypal. I also ran a market stall for a while selling cheap crap. I have bought from wholesalers here, UK, and China.
I sold second hand cars for years as a second source of income and am very familiar with cars and car parts ect.
If I was to start selling on Ebay or online what should I sell ? Im not looking for a free ticket to success but just cant afford to mess this up, what area should I look at ?
If you only had €1000 what would you invest in ?

First thing I'd look at is - what interests you? What are you passionate about?

It doesn't follow that you should build a business around what you are most interested in, but it's a good starting point for thinking about what you could do in that area, e.g what is lacking, what could be done better, etc...

Good advice alright but what interests me will not make me any money.

How about Rainbows? Huge under supplied market and the product cost is zero! Should suit your ambitions nicely and just spend your 1000 Euro on marketing.

I think you should save your comment for the "After Hours" threads as it has no place here.

Fair comment, once I find the section for stupid fuh quing questions, I will do just that.

    Thank you for your interest.

Buy a €1000 worth of Christmas trees. Sell them on. Make a profit.

That's a simple way. The better way is what rivertom said. Find something that you think you can do better and build on it.

He asked what would you invest in if you had €1000 - nothing stupid about the question, only thing stupid here is your answer. No need for the smart arse remarks either - if you dont have anything useful to say then dont post at all.

I consider myself smacked and will ensure I only post when I feel my comments might be of use to the other posters including the OP.

Might even change my username to "youareonlyasgoodasyourlastpost" as a penance.
