    Right....

Nissan, ford, jaguar, Volvo, Renault in wexford.

    Volvo, Mazda, in carlow

Audi, and a few other in Waterford

They also own the franchise for Hertz in Ireland, and they own NVD transport. They also own the distribution rights for Renault in most of Leinster

    Probably missing a few.

All of the above and I still wouldn't buy a car off them.

Think you're correct on your list, though I didn't know there was a Volvo dealer in Wexford. They also have BMW, Mitsubishi, Renault, Peugeot and Opel in Waterford - they actually seem to own a good percentage of the car dealers in the south east and I too wouldn't buy from them.

Edit - though they are related to Bolands in New Ross, there is no connection between their businesses and I would actually deal with Bolands in New Ross.

    And then some...

John Kelly is Opel + Mitsubishi in, but seem to be owned by Bolands: https://www.duedil.com/company/IE222676/mmm-limited

    http://www.johnkellymitsubishi.com/contentv3/index.cfm?fuseaction=page&keyword=AboutUs

T&C are Peugeot: http://www.tandcmotors.ie/contentv3/index.cfm?fuseaction=page&pageID=18388, directors, Sean Boland & Orla Boland http://www.creditcheck.ie/Irish-Credit-Report/T-And-C-Motors-Limited-71062

H&H are Renault: http://www.handhmotors.ie/index.cfm?area=content&action=contentselect&menuid=212 , directors, Sean and Anthony Boland: http://www.creditcheck.ie/Irish-Credit-Report/H-And-H-Waterside-Motors-Limited-89219

Bolands Waterford currently are dealers for BMW/Mini, Citroen and Hyundai while AutoBoland across the road are Land Rover, Honda and Volvo dealers

I'd imagine they will continue to buy franchises in the vague hope that some day you will buy a car from them !!!

Fairly sure that's a different Boland altogether.

Fair play to Bolands for building up such a successful business. It takes a huge amount of effort at all levels to build such a large Motor Group.
No doubt they are also creating and retaining much needed employment in very difficult times.
I bought a Jaguar from them a couple of years ago and would not hesitate in buying from them again. Their customer service was excellent.
Sorry if other ops had less satisfactory experiences.
Finally Bolands of Clondalkin , Dublin are not part of the same Organisation.

You're obviously a happy customer and you make a good point about their success. But that level of dominance is not good for buyers in the region.

    Volvo, Mazda, in carlow

    They've recently added Škoda too.

I was interested in buying a decently speced S60 at one point but noticed all their demos are all the most basic, austere Paddy-spec even by Irish standards.

Was looking at same, all theirs have no leather (in a Volvo..wtf?). Johnson & Perrot in Cork have a better range of options.

If you have a good Customer service experience you will go back again and If you don't then go elsewhere and vote with your pocket. I appreciate your point about having so many dealerships in a region.
