We're getting a new en suite and are planning tiles throughout - however getting mixed messages re floor tiles and how they may or not be too slippy in a bathroom.

We're planning on ceramic tiles 45x45 - the tile company tell me they are "R" rated but not sure what number R

Any advice appreciated before we take the plunge!!!
    tks

have Tiles in the Bathroom, But on the Walls and on the Floor, you can get non Slip tiles, but do cost..

get your a** on ebay and buy them, you will save a tone of Money.. got mine from a Germany Company Cost me about 1.25 a Tile inc. Shipping

Also got my Steam Shower From Ebay for 900 euro from the UK. Cost over 2k in my Local Store
At the time Tiles our Us, or some other company where giving us 3euro a tile.

I got the Glass Bowl from a Germany Company aswell in Ebay.. its a Pain in the hole, as the Pipes are for every getting Air Traped and takes forever for the water to go down

Thanks Cork24 - sourced my bathroom appliances from the UK alright - great prices and lots of choice!
Have decided to go ahead with the tiling throughout - but am sourcing locally as time is against me at this stage.
    Thanks for the tips!

I haven't actually tried this but I've heard of applying silicon sealant over a reduced level of grout between bathroom floor tiles. Some grout is necessary, of course, but topped off with sealant gives you some grip.
Should I mention that I heard this from a fellow patient who slipped on his tiled bathroom floor, breaking several ribs on the loo bowl, puncturing a lung just before keeping me company in hospital for a fortnight? Of all the "shudduv done this or that", I thought the sealant idea might be a runner, if you don't mind regular maintenance. Maybe confine the sealant to the areas most likely to cause slips and fully grout the areas of heavier traffic?
