Single Mortgage - Married Applicant?

    Do any of ye know If its possible to apply for a single mortgage when you're married? OH is not in permanent employment so would be just me.

    I can afford the mortgage on my own salary?

    You can apply based on one income, but both parties will be required to sign the loan & mortgage etc. (because your partner will be acquiring an interest in the house so the bank will want them to be jointly and severally liable for the loan monies).

    Once married you must apply for a mortgage in your joint names if the property is to be your principal private residence/family home.
