Amazon back order or pre order or whatever they call it...

    Hi,

    I'm looking to buy an item off Amazon, but it'll not be back in stock till 30th Nov. Thats ok, but are amazon good in regard to fullfilling the order and getting an item out if you're pre-ordered and prepared to wait.

    I just don't want to be let down as its an xmas pressie and want to get it done and dusted.

    anyone got any experience with them before in a similair vein?

    Ordered this tis a.m. and got an e-mail this evening saying -
    We are pleased to report that the following item will dispatch sooner than expected:

    "Samsung Galaxy Tab2 7 inch Tablet - Silver (8GB, WiFi, Android 4.0)"
    Previous estimated arrival date: December 03 2012 - December 06 2012
    New estimated arrival date: November 21 2012

    Always found them spot on.

    Looking at my old emails, I ordered this out of stock item
    Please be advised that we have a revised delivery date for the items you ordered on February 07 2012 (Order #

    Estimated arrival date: February 21 2012 - February 22 2012

    But then the next day, feb 14th they were sent
    Dispatched via An Post (estimated arrival date: Friday, February 17, 2012).
